WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S CALLING?

Obviously, everyone is different.  We have different passions, different ways of viewing the world and we all take in and process information in various ways.  This differentiation is a beautiful thing -- but sometimes it can be confusing.  While some people have a clear vision of their destiny, most do not.

MBTI_Grid.gifFor which livlihood are we best suited?  The answer will not present itself if we greet such questions passively.  How can we start getting answers now?

Enter the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test.  Yup, personality profiling.

You'd be amazed to learn that we can actually categorize everyone on this planet into 1 of 16 categories.  This test is simply amazing.  Is it an exact science?  Of course not, but it is a pretty damn good starting point.  Obviously, everyone is an individual -- this is not to say that people have the same personalities; but, rather that they interact, process information, make decisions and choose to live in certain, measureable ways.

In an hour you can learn a great deal about yourself and get some really stellar guidance on what careers may align well with you.  Regardless of whether you are seeking a career or enhanced self understanding, this is a powerful learning tool.

You can take a free MBTI test online.  I also recommend the following book, Do What You Are, by Paul and Barbara Tieger. Once you have identified your profile, you will likely be amazed at the clarity with which your stregths and weaknesses are described.  You can find a host of suggestions in regards to what careers you may be well suited for.

Can you imagine seeing a list of careers that really excite you!  As human beings, we need to spend our lives doing something that we love; imagine looking forward to work everyday!  It is quite possible, with a bit of self exploration and effort.  The sooner people come to this realization, the more this world will evolve.

So don't be passive (it's your life, afterall!) -- take action.  You can also reference my earlier post for an additional exercise for discovering your life's calling.

Enjoy.

Glad you find it useful! I'll be putting up more content over the next several months. This test has been an extraordinarily useful tool for me during my lifetime -- definitely worth checking out.
